12 months in the making: Trek Midwest CX

You may have heard chatter here and there. About what may be coming down the pipeline. Phone calls have been made, deals have been done and product has been shipped. We can now fully introduce the Trek Midwest Cyclocross program.

I've gotta say I'm pretty pumped about this opportunity. Jay put a ton of work into it and I'm honored to be a part and am up for the challenge. Trek Midwest has stepped up big time along with all the sponsors to allow us to compete against the best Masters racers in the Nation and World at the USGP series, USA Cycling National Championships and UCI Masters World Championships.

Not only will you see a fully equipped 'cross team out there but also a demo program that will have a trailer filled with a complete size run of Trek/Gary Fisher Collection Cronus CX's for you to test ride at  all the events we attend. All three of us, Jay, Matt and myself have been huge fans of 'cross for decades and are excited to roll this out to everyone.

I've got to offer a huge thank you to all our partners. Of course there's the Trek Bicycle Stores of Omaha, Kansas City and St. Louis (aka. Trek Midwest), but also...

Trek / Gary Fisher Collection Bicycles - Framesets
SRAM - Drivetrains
Bontrager - Wheels and trim kits
Avid - Brakes
Challenge - Tires
Capo - On bike apparel
K-Swiss - Off bike apparel and run equipment
Lazer - Helmets

We'll be bringing you updates throughout the upcoming season via the Trek Midwest CX blogsite and hopefully race play by play when possible at the @mwc_cx_update Twitter feed. You can also follow us each individually on Twitter and of course my usual rants here.

The Gateway Cross Cup is only a handful of weeks away. We look forward to seeing everyone on the training circuit and at the races.
