I love it when a plan comes together

Omaha CX training ground

Awesome turnout for CX practice tonight. Nineteen by my count, which makes this our biggest night to date. I'm not even going to try to name everyone but there were plenty of familiar faces and a ton of new ones. Makes me think this years 'cross season is going to be pretty bad ass.

The course at Chili Greens is getting worn in and faster with each passing week. I scouted a couple new add on loops that will put the whole lap into the official 2.5-3.5km range. With only 4 weeks until the first USGP and 5 weeks until the Omaha CX weekend, it's really time to get to business and make it hurt.

Do they know you are ruining that grass and do you have a permit?

The venue is an old golf course that UNO bought. They use it for cross country and it will eventually be leveled for a hockey arena. The neighborhood basically uses it as a park. South of where we ride are a few soccer fields that see quite a bit of youth traffic. We do have clearance though.

Actually KB, the heavy track you see in the photo is from the XC track, ours is the little tiny track to the left which is barely noticeable.

Ruining grass? That's funny.

Hey Mod...tongue in cheek...issues we deal with here. I was told here once that we couldn't put a trail in because it would ruin the vista...VISTA...you mean ruin the vista for the people DRIVING through the park to lazy to get out and use it?
